Una Noche en Havana – One Night in Havana

CIA Student Charity Dining Event: Una Noche en Havana Saturday July 14 at 6 p.m.
Una Noche en Havana (One Night in Havana) is the last of three charity dinners this summer hosted by the 2018 senior class of The Culinary Institute of America. This event, on July 14, is the culmination of four years of their CIA education to present a night to remember and to support the local community. This event will take you on a trip to the Caribbean celebrating the food and culture of Cuba. The menu will feature a modern take on classic Cuban cuisine. The night will begin at 6 p.m. outdoors on the CIA campus overlooking the Hudson River, with hors d’oeuvre, cocktails, and a silent auction followed by a four-course meal accompanied by a live band. This event will be benefiting The Grace Smith House and CIA SkillsUSA Team.

  • Grace Smith House, a Hudson Valley-based agency that supports victims of domestic violence.
  • The CIA SkillsUSA Team, that will be representing the college at a national competition this summer.These CIA students are taking all of their learned knowledge and applying it to a charity event their final senior project.

Reception: Cocktail hour at 6 p.m. on Anton Plaza, dinner begins at 7:15 p.m. in Farquharson Hall
Location: The Culinary Institute of America, Route 9, 1946 Campus Drive, Hyde Park, NY 12538
Dress Code: Upscale Casual
Entertainment: Live music provided by Goza Band, a Connecticut-based ensemble with Latin flair.
Price: $95 per person, includes the reception, four-course dinner, all beverages, tax, and service. A portion is tax-deductible.

This event is presented by CIA bachelor’s degree students. These future stars in the hospitality industry are responsible for all of the evening’s planning and execution, from menu development to the overall ambiance and design of the event.
