Apricity: The Forest Beckons

The Culinary Institute of America’s senior class invites you to Apricity. Feel the warmth of the winter sun as the students bring you a night of enchantment and culinary marvels. Follow the mushroom trails and shaggy trees to get a taste of Hudson Valley’s ingredients that embody the winter season. Enjoy a four-course tasting menu with wine pairings and a trio of desserts with live entertainment. This student-planned, operated, and organized event celebrates and highlights the knowledge and skills our seniors have learned at their time a the Culinary Institute of America.

Half of the evening’s proceeds will benefit Family Services New York. We are proud to support their mission of bringing people together to find the support they need, improving their lives and communities, and building a stronger, safer Hudson Valley. The remaining event proceeds fund student scholarships at The Culinary Institute of America.

Apricity will be held Saturday, December 4, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the beautiful Farquharson Hall, located inside Roth Hall. Following the cocktail hour, guests will enjoy a four-course tasting menu with wine pairings and a trio of desserts. The recommended dress code is semi-formal.

These CIA students are taking all of their learned knowledge and applying it to a charity event their final senior project.

Dress Code: Semi-Formal
Entertainment: Live music
Health and Safety: All guests and visitors to campus are required to wear a mask while indoors—regardless of their vaccination status—except when seated in a dining environment.

Price: $130 per person, includes the reception, five-course dinner, all beverages, tax, and service. A portion may be tax-deductible.

This event is presented by CIA bachelor’s degree students. These future stars in the hospitality industry are responsible for all of the evening’s planning and execution, from menu development to the overall ambiance and design of the event.
